World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, dedicated to providing fresh, nourishing meals to communities affected by natural disasters, humanitarian crises, and conflicts worldwide.
WCK's mission is to be among the first responders in crisis situations, delivering meals to those in need. They collaborate with local chefs, restaurants, and volunteers to prepare culturally appropriate meals, ensuring rapid and efficient food distribution.
Poland Welcomes (Fundacja Unitatemis) is a small, local charity in Jarosław, Poland, which offers shelter to refugee Ukrainian women and children. With just a small band of volunteers and outside funding of private and public donors, Poland Welcomes began operating the day after war broke out in Ukraine. Within two months, the organization scaled up to operate 6 sites, with capacity to house 1,100 refugee Ukrainian women and children. Today Poland Welcomes can shelter a Ukrainian child for $5 a day.

Brothers and Sisters in Arms (BASIA) is a leading civilian aid organization in Israel. Following the Hamas invasion on October 7, 2023, the organization shifted its focus to provide immediate support to civilians and soldiers affected by the conflict. Some of the services BASIA is providing include: shuttling civilians out of active war zones, providing warm meals to the displaced population, mental health to survivors, as well as arranging homestays for the thousands that have fled their homes.
The Bail Project’s mission is to eliminate cash bail and create a more equitable pretrial system. By paying bail for those in need, The Bail Project aims to prevent unnecessary pretrial detention, which can lead to job loss, housing instability, and coerced guilty pleas.
